Vocabulary and grammar will be presented in meaningful contexts.  Students will used the Spanish language in real-life tasks and will gain cultural insights into the Spanish culture.  This course will incorporate the Standards for Language Learning as set forth in the ACTFL (American Council on Teaching of Foreign Languages) guidelines for proficiency.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Spanish II&lt;br /&gt;In this course, students will review skills taught in Spanish I as they continue to develop communicative proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  Students will strengthen their knowledge and appreciation of the Spanish culture while increasing language acquisition.  This course will incorporate the Standards for Language Learning as set forth in the ACTFL (American Council on Teaching of Foreign Languages) guidelines for proficiency.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Spanish III&lt;br /&gt;In this course, students will review skills taught in Spanish I and II as they develop intermediate-level communicative proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  They will deepen their knowledge of grammatical structures and idiomatic expressions in this language, while continuing to acquire vocabulary.  Students will also develop a deeper awareness and appreciation of Spanish history and culture.  This course will incorporate the Standards for Language Learning as set forth in the ACTFL (American Council on Teaching of Foreign Languages) guidelines for proficiency.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Spanish IV&lt;br /&gt;In this course, students will improve and reinforce the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills already attained in previous levels of Spanish.  In addition, students will read, discuss and analyze various literary selections in the Spanish language as well as appreciation of Spanish art, music, and culture.
